IMPORTANT NOTICE: Reduction in JPO Official Fees
On the first of June 2008 the Japanese Patent Office introduced sweeping reductions to patent and trademark official fees. Trademark renewal and registration fees have undergone significant reductions, as have maintenance fees on patents held for a decade or more. These discounts (which also affect existing trademarks and patents) deliver broad cost cuts: enabling us to protect your intellectual property rights at lower cost.

These fee amendments came into effect on June 1st, 2008; if the deadline for the payment of the registration fee came up prior to this date, in principle the fees must be paid at the previous rate. We aim however, to provide a service that allows our customers to take full advantage of these amendments and can offer suggestions on how to do so.
